  • The compensation for this position can be up to $218,000 annually.  Compensation will vary based on qualifications, skills, experience, and geographic location.  The salary range may also vary if you reside in a different location than the location posted.

JOB SUMMARY

Works within the vision, mission, and philosophy of the agency. The Agency Sr. Corporate Controller is a senior leadership position that manages risk assets and, directs and runs an effective and efficient accounting operation in an increasingly complex agency structure. The Sr. Corporate Controller position provides a vision for the Agency's accounting systems and leadership in support of the Agency's future direction driving execution through improvements in system and data automation and the development and growth of employees. The position will report to the Chief Financial Officer and requires expertise in all aspects of technical accounting including non profit accounting, contract accounting, revenue recognition, subsystem(s) accounting, treasury management, internal and external audit management and, accounting systems. The position is responsible for directing and managing all accounting functions of the agency in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and ensuring legal and regulatory compliance for all accounting reporting functions. The Corporate Controller is also responsible for supervising and developing staff assigned to the accounting functions and will represent the CFO on selected strategic projects and situations. 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

 

  1. Responsible for strategic and operational management of all accounting functions for the agency in accordance with generally accounting principles.
  2. Strong leadership skills that build high performance teams working within accounting and finance departments and across agency functions to influence and build on a vision for a strategic and efficient accounting organization.  
  3. Directs, coordinates and lead internal and external fiscal audit requirements of the Agency while developing and maintaining professional relationships with appropriate contacts.
  4. Develop and influence Agency leadership and its policies by defining and articulating accounting information impact to the current and future vision of the Agency
  5. Develop, recruit, train and retain accounting employees required for a high functioning department including the supervision and training required to ensure the full potential of employees.
  6. Responsible for the preparation, compliance and accuracy of the Agency's financial information including all aspects of accounting integrity within the agency's cost infrastructure to ensure accurate accounting statements and information reported on a monthly basis in compliance with contract commitments and generally accounting principles.
  7. Directs and coordinates all aspects of the Agency's annual fiscal audit and other audit requirements, both internal and external.
  8. Provide leadership and representation of accounting organization working across intra and inter cross functional departments to influence and improve accounting and financial processes and practices.
  9. Establish, develop and implement long range strategic planning for efficient management of capital assets, accounting systems and compliance to accounting standards.
