Position Description: Under the general direction and guidance of the Director of the Counseling Center, the incumbent will provide counseling services to CSUB students. The primary focus is to provide a spectrum of short-term counseling services to students enrolled at CSUB in Bakersfield, CA, and may serve students at CSUB- AV in Lancaster, CA. Counseling services include individual and group counseling, workshops on improving the mental health of our students, and teaching general studies courses. Candidates must address the mental health, developmental, and academic achievement needs of a student population of great diversity (ethnic, racial, country of origin, gender, sexual orientation, transgendered, disability, socioeconomic status, immigration status, religious diversity, etc.).
