Job Summary:
The Director, Sales will be an expert in selling traditional media and integrated sponsorships directly to advertising agencies as well direct new or existing clients. Your work will encompass selling the Clear Channel Airports and Outdoor industry-leading portfolio of assets and capabilities. You will have the unique position of representing the largest suite of Airport assets in North America, including NY, Atlanta, Chicago, San Francisco, Washington D.C., Seattle amongst many others. This is a rare opportunity to join our National Sales team as a marketer of not only short term campaigns, but also exclusive, multi-year partnerships in top B2B and B2C categories.
Job Responsibilities:
- Exceed revenue goals, on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Makes cold calls and connects with “C” Level clients through phone, email and networking strategies.
- Generate sufficient outreach to obtain meetings with existing and new clients every week
- Conduct Customer Needs Assessments (CNAs) resulting in insights and opportunities that lead to proposal submission
- Prepares compelling and competitive proposals and presentations.
- Presents ideas and advertising solutions that meet client needs.
- Determines project pricing based on established guidelines.
- Establishes, maintains and grows relationships with existing and new clients and their agencies.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by facilitating all aspects of the customer's account in cooperation with Creative, Operations, Marketing and Finance staff
- Manage a pipeline in order to understand business in a data-driven way and effectively self-manage.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required
Job Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, experience, or military experience required.
Work Experience
- Minimum two (2) years of sales experience or other relevant work experience required.
- Demonstrated track record of business-to-business and progressive sales experience strongly preferred.
- Media sales experience preferred.
Skills
- Strong organizational / time management skills and be detailed oriented.
- Skilled in working closely with customers to develop and cultivate client relationships in order to grow accounts.
- Sales achievement with experience in consultative or “needs” based selling techniques.
- Have a collaborative and professional style with the objective of building strong relationships with diverse customer groups and vendors.
- Be a self-starter with a diligent work ethic and demonstrated flexibility.
- Able to multi-task and stay calm under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills including delivering effective presentations.
- Able to complete required math calculations (e.g., multiply, divide, rate, ratio, percent, produce / interpret bar graphs).
- Proficient in Microsoft software applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and social media platforms.
