Job Description Summary

Conducts testing required to assure product safety and compliance to specifications, GMP’s and ISO requirements. Works with other inspectors and manufacturing personnel to complete testing, special projects and other tasks as required. Apply knowledge of quality procedures, inspection gages and materials to complete inspections on a timely basis. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read and write and converse in English. Willing and able to uphold BD Values.

C Shift

PCP - Level 3

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs routine testing for product release utilizing required instrumentation. 

  • Timely testing of product in order to support manufacturing and product release. 

  • Testing and paperwork is completed accurately. 

  • Performs daily chart review and approval on production and quality forms. 

  • Compiles data and prepares testing reports as required 

  • Establish proper sample size based on ANSI/ISO standards for inspecting and product disposition. 

  • Locate, file and interpret inspection records, specifications and appropriate drawings. 

  • Perform SAP/MES transactions and others as needed, ensure rejected material is marked and blocked appropriately. 

  • Assist with reprocessing/rework activities. 

  • Responsible for ensuring good housekeeping practices in the area including daily 5S audit. 

  • Disposes of waste in compliance with safety and environmental procedures.  

  • Participates in product analysis activities for audit reports, capability studies, Experimental Work Orders and validations. 

  • Able to work accurately with limited supervision. 

  • Accepts responsibilities and can communicate effectively with supervision, co-workers and production. 

  • Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.

  • Timely testing of product in order to support manufacturing and product release.  

  • Accurate testing and documentation. 

Education:

  • High School Diploma Required

Minimum Experience:

  • Previous manufacturing or quality experience preferred.

  • Use of measurement devices and quality records preferred.
