Job Description

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead Project Teams: Oversee the execution of transit, aviation, and various public and private sector projects.
  • Coordinate Construction Documents: Collaborate with the architectural design team to schedule, implement, and ensure construction documents adhere to office and client standards.
  • Liaise with Engineering Disciplines: Coordinate architectural work with both in-house engineering teams and external consultants.
  • Client Interaction: Attend client presentations and progress meetings to effectively communicate design intent and technical details.
  • Ensure Consistency: Prepare and coordinate architectural details with team members to align with project design intent and office/client standards.
  • Utilize Revit: Perform project setup, drawing layout, modifications, and reviews using Revit software.
  • Estimate Work Efforts: Assist in preparing work effort estimates for architectural services for proposals.
  • Project Management: Provide regular updates to project managers regarding schedule and budget compliance for architectural services.
  • Multi-Discipline Team Management: Manage projects involving multi-discipline teams of architects, engineers, and consultants for both public and private clients.
  • Mentor Junior Staff: Mentor junior architects and designers, guiding them on technical objectives in conjunction with project management and design principles.
  • Problem Solving: Develop solutions to complex technical problems.
  • Comprehensive Project Preparation: Prepare program analyses, life safety code analyses, concept designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic designs, design developments, construction drawings, and project specifications.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture plus six years of related experience
  • Licensed as a Registered Architect


Preferred Qualifications

  • NCARB accreditation
  • Construction administration experience
  • Advanced Rendering/Modelling experience (Sketch­up, Rhino, etc.)
  • AIA MasterSpec experience
  • LEED Accredited Professional
  • Project production experience, standards and regulations
  • Advanced Technical Skills: Revit, AutoCAD, MS Office, Adobe Suite
  • Good understanding of building codes
  • Exhibits leadership traits and has experience leading a design team with successful outcomes
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks on a daily basis
  • Work efficiently and effectively within a team environment
