Job Summary

The CRM Specialist analyzes and articulates the business and technical implications of decisions that are being made, while working with stakeholders to develop relationships to ensure successful delivery and ongoing support. 

Department Summary

University Advising (UA), a unit reporting to Student Success in Academic Affairs, is responsible for integrating, facilitating, coordinating, synthesizing, enabling, and fostering outcomes driven efforts that support student success, including retention, persistence, and graduation. Through its unique range of campus-wide programs and initiatives that includes the Mustang Success Center, University Advising Retention, and the Transfer Center; UA provides leadership, services, and resources to support all Cal Poly students in reaching their academic goals.

Key Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skill in effective project management, specializing in integrating technology, with a proven ability to organize and lead teams, including internal design and operations staff, external partners and technical consultants.
  • Demonstrated skill influencing teams to achieve effective outcomes and positive relationships between team members.
  • Ability to lead teams to develop simple solutions, striving to deliver iteratively.   
  • Demonstrated skill translating technological solutions into terms understandable by a variety of users; demonstrated ability to work with technical and non-technical staff to identify user requirements and translate them into technology-based solutions.

Education and Experience

    • Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university and three years of technical or administrative experience.
    • A graduate degree in a related field may be substituted for one year of the required experience.
    • Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Salary and Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Range: $71,280 - $78,696 Per Year

Classification Range: $63,288 - $92,208 Per Year

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Anticipated Hiring Range referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Classification Range may be broader than what the University anticipates paying for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
