At Goodwin, we work with some of the world’s most successful and innovative investors, entrepreneurs and disruptors in the life sciences, private equity, real estate, technology and financial industries, and where they converge. As part of the Global Operations Team – all business professionals at the firm – you’ll collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and experiences, fostering an environment where cross-functional learning, networking, and collaboration are at the core of what we do.

Here, we’re not just supporting a law firm; we’re partnering with attorneys and clients to deliver cutting-edge solutions in high-stakes litigation and dispute resolution, world-class regulatory compliance and advisory services, and complex transactions. Our commitment to integrity, ingenuity, agility, and ambition drives us, and we’re proud to have been recognised as the “Best Business Team” by The American Lawyer.

This is your opportunity to grow professionally in a dynamic, global environment, surrounded by forward-thinking peers.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide advice with respect to ethics and other professional responsibility rules relating to incoming lateral associates and partners.

  • Assist with the firm’s response to any demands or motions seeking to disqualify the firm or its attorneys as counsel in particular matters.

  • Help to develop and implement firm policies on a broad array of matters such as the use of artificial intelligence and other tools, new representations, social media, and matters requiring special firm approval.

  • Handle or otherwise assist with the analysis and defense of threatened or actual claims involving the firm, including supervision of outside counsel retained to represent the firm with respect to such claims.

  • Coordinate on specific matters with the firm’s attorneys who specialize in addressing client intake/conflicts, subpoenas and other document requests, and electronic discovery matters.

  • Provide advice in support of the firm’s extensive pro bono practice, including on ethics issues, engagement letters, and pro bono clinics.

  • Coordinate with the firm’s attorneys, located in London, who provide ethics-related and other advice to firm attorneys located outside the United States.

  • Build strong working relationships directly with the firm’s partners and associates and with members of Goodwin’s Global Operations departments

Who You Are:

  • JD required.

  • 5+ years of experience as a litigation attorney, with experience working in a large global law firm strongly preferred.
