Entergy’s Project Delivery Department is responsible for planning, designing, constructing, maintaining and operating over 15,000 miles of transmission lines across the four-state territory.
Intern Job Description:
Working in a team environment to assist engineers in day to day activities including but not limited to: Performing design based on project scoping and site visits Utilizing design software to model surveyed field configurations Preparing operational one-line drawings Validate estimating prices and equipment units, ensuring material is properly ordered and staged for upcoming projects Managing projects that are in construction Completion of as-built documentation Participate in weekly planning coordination calls Work on special projects to assist in improving grid reliability Responding to equipment failures Support lab testing and operations Transmission Substation and Line database management Support of business analytic processes through data mining and reporting, as well as performing a wide variety of detailed engineering analysis in transmission-related areas such as planning, economic analysis, maintenance, design, project management and construction, and operations Travel may be required for the position
Education Requirements:
- Seeking Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil engineering major. Junior and Senior candidate with graduation dates of May 2026 and beyond preferred.
- Must be actively pursuing a bachelors, masters or doctorate degree as indicated above and at minimum classified as a sophomore or beyond.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
Preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Excellent communication and time management skills, great interpersonal skills, good knowledge of personal computer operations and software. Able to manage multiple activities and changing priorities.
