Mechanical Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical/Piping Superintendent to oversee the installation of mechanical systems and process piping for a state-of-the-art battery recycling plant. This role involves managing the installation of systems such as compressed air, HVAC, exhaust, dehumidifiers, dust collection, plumbing, and process water. The successful candidate will ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the installation of mechanical ductwork and process piping systems ensuring schedule, budget and quality are aligned with client expectations.
• Coordinate construction activities to ensure alignment with project schedules, budgets, and specifications.
• Lead interdisciplinary coordination efforts and collaborates closely with other disciplines to ensure delivery of a complete, approved, coordinated scope across a project.
• Develop, manage, and report out construction schedules, tracking milestones through to project completion.
• Lead and mentor trade partners, and other construction team members, fostering a collaborative and safety-focused work environment.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure high-quality installations and compliance with project standards and industry regulations.
• Enforce safety policies and protocols to maintain a safe construction site for all personnel.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other superintendents to resolve issues, streamline workflows, and achieve project milestones.
• Maintain accurate records of progress, changes, and daily reports to support effective communication and project transparency.
• Identify and address potential challenges proactively to minimize project delays or cost overruns.
• Any other duties that may be assigned to your role.

Skills Required:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical or piping construction, with at least 3 years in a superintendent or leadership role.
• Proven track record of managing the installation of Mechanical and process piping systems on industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, piping codes, and safety standards (e.g., ASME, OSHA).
• Proficiency with construction management tools and software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project).
• Ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors in a dynamic construction environment.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Education / Licenses / Certifications

• OSHA 30 or other safety certifications are a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or construction management is a plus
• Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.
