As an Analytics Engineer (Finance & Procurement Analytics), you will design, deliver, and support data analytics and Business Intelligence solutions. Working closely with Finance & Procurement stakeholders, you will deliver analytics projects, Power BI dashboards, and reports that enable data-driven decision-making across the organisation.
You will play a key role in the ongoing evolution of our financial analytics landscape. Ferring is currently finalising the migration from a legacy data warehouse to a modern data analytics stack, while evolving global financial data models that support Group P&L reporting as well as deep-dive analysis across countries, functions, and specific company activities.
You will also have the opportunity to contribute to emerging AI initiatives focused on Group Financial Performance, including potential collaboration on semantic models that support AI agents.
Based in our Lisbon office, you will be part of a Global IT Analytics & AI team, collaborating with stakeholders across regions and business domains.
Your day at Ferring
Become a trusted partner for Finance & Procurement stakeholders
Deliver data analytics solutions and Power BI reports aligned with business needs
Work closely with business teams to gather, clarify, and manage complex requirements
Transform Finance & Procurement domain data into reliable, analysis-ready datasets
Develop and maintain curated Databricks notebooks
Implement and maintain financial business rules, data models, and key metrics
Ensure strong data quality, consistency, and traceability across data models
Support and optimise Power BI reports and semantic models
Collaborate with Data Engineering and Operations teams to specify, test, and refine data pipelines
Support architects in defining analytics standards and best practices
Provide application support and maintenance in line with SLAs, internal IT standards, and the ITIL framework (incident, change, and problem management)
Behind our innovation… There’s you
University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
3+ years of professional experience in data analytics and BI roles
Strong proficiency in SQL
Hands-on experience with Databricks
Proven experience in data modelling (dimensional modelling, star schema)
Experience with Power BI (datasets, DAX measures, performance optimisation) or similar BI tools
Good understanding of data warehouse and lakehouse architectures
Strong communication skills with the ability to gather, structure, and manage complex requirements
Prior knowledge of Finance and Procurement analytics (considered a strong asset)
