Senior Treasury Analyst, Financial Reporting

What you do 

 

Perform various financial activities across the areas of Treasury, Insurance and/or Service (TPA) including cash positioning, forecasting and ensuring Treasury control compliance in accordance with all relevant regulations, laws, and reporting requirements. 

 

You will perform various reporting functions across the areas of Insurance and/or Service.

 

• Responsible for daily cash positioning, monthly reporting, and short/medium/long-term forecasting while supporting Group Treasury management initiatives.
• Prepare/perform various insurance/service fiduciary cash transfer and F/X processes; generate related monthly support for necessary reconciliations.
• Monitor short-term liquidity while performing monthly variance analysis with communication to relevant parties, including supporting various reinsurance programs.
• Devises, tests, and implements new forecasting models or intracompany flowcharts regarding cash transfers, reinsurance pass throughs, or other relevant entity relationships.   
• Identifies cost-saving opportunities related to treasury while managing, maintaining and administering bank relationships or scorecards.
• Participate in various internal/external audits; perform periodic internal compliance audits to ensure system design and data capture support the functional guidelines of Treasury and Regulatory reporting function.
• Initiate, research and recommend process and workflow enhancements to increase efficiency, improve controls and support the strategic organizational objectives.
• Interface with Accounting regarding banking support and general troubleshooting; serves as Treasury representative in terms of cross-functional projects as required.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

 

What you bring

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field or equivalent combination of work and education experience.
• Minimum (5) years experience in treasury, financial analysis, and/or insurance-related accounting.
• Experience with P&C insurance preferred.
• CTP/CPA designation preferred
• Previous experience managing processes/people preferred, but not required.
• Advanced skills in using Windows based applications and MS Office, specifically Excel.
• Experience working with SAP would be an asset.
• Detail oriented with strong analytical and numerical aptitudes.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.

Travel requirements: 

Position is routinely expected to travel 5% of time.
