JOB PURPOSE
Improves workforce efficiencies by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through coordination of internal / external labor, parts, and equipment access and site communications to ensure the performance, reliability, and results of all equipment across the site. This role serves as a database administrator for the CMMS/SAP system and is responsible for master data change management to ensure accurate compliance. Develop and monitor metrics KPIs and collaborates with MRO leader. The basic function of this position is to minimize total cost & efforts of maintenance work activities in a fast-paced dynamic work environment by maximizing the team capabilities through detailed planning and scheduling of corrective, preventive and shutdown work. Coordinates area and sites shutdowns leading site communications during the shutdown periods. Provides guidance to the maintenance team/shifts to ensure the shutdowns schedule is accurate and complete. Continuously exchanges additional knowledge with other employees cross-functionally.
KEY ACCOUTABILITIES
- Regular and predictable onsite attendance and punctuality.
- Responsible for developing and reporting planned maintenance process, schedule and associated KPI’s.
- Create and manage monthly schedules for preventive maintenance to ensure that asset down time is limited and work is completed in a timely, efficient manner to remain in compliance.
- Reviews and analyses preventive maintenance schedules proposing process improvements.
- Review, coordinate, and maintain Corrective Maintenance Work orders with an outstanding balance no greater than 100.
- Performing scheduling of all required Preventive Maintenance through coordination with Maintenance Documentation, Planning/scheduling, Operations, Reliability and Compliance, Quality Assurance and any additional departments as needed.
- Develop and implement, through interdepartmental coordination, a comprehensive plan for preventive maintenance to be performed during scheduled down time/semi-annual shut-down periods.
- Provides leadership to supervisors and assistants in scheduling best practices resulting in detailed job plans for the maintenance group.
- Ensure documents are reviewed in accordance with company policy and initiate document revisions as requested. Upon request, revise documents and write new procedures for maintenance group and initiate review for said documents.
- Determine work/projects, both predictive and corrective, to be performed and schedule accordingly with Planning/Scheduling Department.
- Propose and oversee Major Corrective Maintenance Actions through coordination with all departments required; including contacting external contractors, and OEMs for maintenance work and projects to be performed.
- Provides support for engineering initiatives, to include, but not limited to, data collection, and data analysis. Attend meetings, take notes, and create presentation material. Supports the change control process for maintenance related initiatives and equipment changes.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or 10+ years Manufacturing Maintenance experience with corresponding accredited Graduate and Undergraduate credits.
Preferred: Master’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum: 10+ years in Manufacturing Maintenance.
SKILLS
- Knowledge of CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) is required.
- SAP proficiency a must.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, customer service, and documentation organization are required along with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Expert in utilizing Microsoft Excel, proficient in other MS Office products.
- Knowledge of planning and scheduling principles and processes as related to maintenance practices.
- Ability to influence, negotiate and communicate effectively with customers internal and external.
