The Corporate Meetings & Events Team is part of JPMorgan’s larger Firmwide Events structure, responsible for delivering best in class events and programs for a range of clients inside and outside of the firm. The team, in close partnership with colleagues across all lines of business, manages the entire event planning process from conception through event completion.
As a Commercial Banking Event Specialist Senior Associate, you will work to implement and deliver world class events for our clients and prospects by leveraging strategic marketing plans that increase sales and grow market share for Commercial Banking. You will work closely with Commercial Banking Marketing & Strategy partners including the Market Intelligence, Creative Services, Digital, Media Relations and Communications teams. In addition, you will lead the planning and and execution of internal events for leadership and executive team.
Job responsibilities
• Support client engagement efforts for various regions and industries within Commercial Bank while delivering best in class service
• Plan for and support high-profile customer events, including idea generation, venue selection, budget management, internal/external communications, etc.
• Provide strategic input and recommendations to planning partners and provide holistic view of all Commercial Bank events.
• Execute against client event calendar while ensuring overall CB client calendar is up to date (Confluence)
• Collaborate with the various functional areas of Commercial Banking Marketing to manage aspects of larger projects, sponsorships, and events for the business
• Support one or more of the functional systems the team works in (GEM, Confluence, Workfront, GlobalMeet, etc.); Work with the Creative Services team to create invitations, graphics, and other client-facing materials (collateral, web content)
• Lead project teams and direct multiple facets simultaneously and concisely; identify areas for continued process improvement and efficiencies
• Maintain project budgets and provide ongoing tracking to management and stakeholders and ensure that all data metrics are entered into appropriate system in a timely and accurate manner
• Support the team working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of matrix managers
• Produce in-person, virtual, and hybrid events and being able to pivot the format quickly when needed
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
• Bachelor's degree required; 5+ years of event planning, project management, business management or corporate communications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to deliver messages clearly and succinctly; demonstrated skill in writing announcements, invitations and letters
• Expertise with Excel (data manipulation and analysis, equations, etc.) and PowerPoint (creating and editing presentations)
• Ability to manage projects across businesses, functions and geographic locations
• Highly organized, detail oriented, forward-thinking, proactive
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• High degree of professionalism and flexibility
• Demonstrates leadership, discretion, and good judgment
• Aggressive self-starter, ability to work both independently, as a collaborative team member, and a team lead
•Travel 25 – 30%
