What are we looking for?

The role of a digital architect is to work in close partnership with the digital product, business, and implementation teams and other stakeholders to develop end-to-end solution designs for digital assets (Web applications and APIs) and ensure that the solutions align with enterprise goals and objectives.


Where you will have an impact

• Develop a thorough and comprehensive understanding of the current state architecture for Versant’s digital assets (web application and APIs). Provide approaches to modernize the current digital assets
• Document and identify options for transient and future state architecture.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Participate in discovery and feature grooming sessions. Perform full impact analyses to identify sizing, gaps, and feasibility for implementation. Document findings and socialize to all stakeholders.
• Lead design discussions and develop solution designs in collaboration with business stakeholders and IT development teams while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards, goals, and objectives. These solution designs must take into consideration:
• Alignment to future state (reduce technical debt where possible)
• Reusability, Modularity and Cost Optimization
• Minimize dependency on external entities
• Minimize impacts to internal and external customers
• Adhere to application and systems security standards and guidelines
• Create comprehensive solution architecture proposal documents. Responsible for the finalization, acceptance, and approval of solutions designs being proposed, by relevant stakeholders.
• Work closely with project managers and delivery leads to identify key design activities and their associated planning.
• Adhere to solution architecture governance processes while maintaining focus on design patterns and technology standards.
• Review high-level and low-level designs with technical leads and developers; introduce and enforce best practices, design patterns, and architecture standards to ensure high quality development deliveries.
• Explore, evaluate, and promote technology innovation within the organization.
• Hands on experience in a full software development life cycle. Ability to work in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
• Hands on experience with developing/designing web application and integration to the backend systems via APIs
• Hands on experience in developing/designing real-time application integration using messaging such as JMS/MQ/KAFKA/SQS.
• Hands on experience with developing/designing application integration using microservices and APIs.
• Hands on experience in design and development of web based and mobile applications.
• Have a good understanding on digital application security.
• Hands on experience developing application using any of these languages: GraphQL, Node.js, Java, C# .Net, python, JavaScript, R, PHP, SWIFT.
• Must have strong understanding of Structured Query Languages (SQL).
• Good knowledge in data modeling for Domain Data Store to pair with microservices.
• Good knowledge of cloud architecture.
• Real life experience working on healthcare payer business domains such as Enrollment and Eligibility, Claims Adjudication, Provider, etc. is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to apply standards and processes.
• Self-motivated, strong delivery focus, and ability to work well within a team.
• Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with associates at all levels of the organization as well as with outside customers and vendors.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead project teams.
• Possess strong ability to multi-task and manage time between simultaneous projects.
