Summer 2026 Internship- Production Team - Washington DC

The Summer Intern will be a member of the Production team responsible for supporting the procurement, marketing, and closing of commercial real estate financing transactions.

The Summer Intern Program will introduce you to BWE, the capital markets industry, and our outstanding professionals.

Program participants will receive exposure to various asset classes, clients, capital sources, deal structuring, negotiation tactics, market trends, and financial models.

BWE is a national, full-service commercial and multifamily mortgage banking company that puts people and communities first.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide underwriting support for current deals, including market surveys, lease reviews, and financial analyses.
  • Assist in client, property, and market research.
  • Support in preparing marketing materials for clients and capital sources.
  • Inspect real estate and surrounding land uses.
  • Help maintain a contact database of customers, capital providers, and others in the commercial real estate and finance industry.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of office pipeline reports.
  • Ad hoc special projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current undergraduate sophomore or junior.
  • Desire to work in the commercial real estate industry.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organization skills.

DESIRED:

  • Desire to learn underwriting, modeling, and financial analysis.
  • Exposure to the primary property types, including multifamily, office, industrial, retail, and lodging.
  • Experience with Argus Enterprise.
  • Familiarity with, or interest in learning, Adobe InDesign.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce or a comparable customer relationship management platform.
  • Strong self-starter and inquisitive.
  • Entrepreneurial work ethic.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Interns to be paid a range from $18 to $20 per hour.
