The position of Senior Quality Manager for our Strategic Partnerships has proven to be critical to the Beyond Meat organization. This position is crucial to new product projects and keeping existing product productions for our strategic partners on track. Working with our customers directly from a qualitative standpoint is a necessity, and something that our strategic partners expect and mandate.
This role is responsible for being the primary liaison between multiple departments and teams within Beyond Meat to our strategic customers. They will need to be an excellent communicator and must be well spoken and articulate as they will be communicating regularly with our customers.  They will work closely with our strategic customers on specification development, documentation, cook settings, in-store handling instructions, co-manufacture onboarding/compliance, packaging, and problem solving to name a few. 
It is the Senior Quality Manager of Strategic Account's responsibility to communicate all requirements clearly to internal stakeholders and to ensure programs/processes are implemented to meet our customers’ requirements. This job also requires extensive global travel with and without our customers to Beyond Meat HQ, Customer HQ, and to our co-manufacturing sites around the world.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Co-manufacturing team to have the information, material, and equipment needed for assigned Strategic Partners trials/production runs.
  • Ensure that Co-manufacturing partners are conducting all quality evaluations that meet customer standards.
  • Create and manage customer facing specifications and processes. 
  • Generate reports describing product details, trends, and communicate findings and action plans to necessary/appropriate parties.
  • Fully understand our Strategic Partners quality/product expectations.  Communicate these expectations effectively cross-functionally
  • Ability to problem-solve and find solutions.
  • Record keeping, and retrieves corporate documents, records and reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a food science/culinary field is required.
  • Project Management experience is preferred.5+ years’ experience working in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Thorough knowledge and appropriate certifications for GMP, FDA, HACCP/PCQI/GFSI is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite - Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work effectively.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and time constraints.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Ability to travel - 50% of the time to co-manufacturing sites, domestic and international
  • Food Manufacturing environment – 20%  (<40 degrees F, >80 degrees F)
  • Frozen warehouse environment – 5% (<10 degrees F)
  • Office setting - 25%
The starting annual base pay for this role is between USD $115,000 and $140,000.  The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands.  The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. The role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, and benefits.
