Job Description

Program Operations Lead

Background

AMS has recently finalized a new strategic plan to guide the organization toward strength and sustainability for the future. In keeping with this strategy, the Office of Accreditation is a new department supporting three legacy functions: School Accreditation, Teacher Education Program Affiliation, and Credentialing Services. The Program Operations Lead is an essential contributor to the success of each of these functions, with a primary support role for Teacher Education Program Affiliation in the near term.

The Role

The Program Operations Lead will serve as a member of the Teacher Education Program Affiliation team and is one of the key drivers of our continued growth and success. Do you thrive in non-profit environments? Do you like to contribute as part of a team but still crave the autonomy to lead key work? The day-to-day experience at AMS will offer plenty of variety, but you will also have the stability of consistent workflows and processes. In fact, if you have an eye and talent for adding efficiencies and finding new ways to address persistent challenges, then this role might be a great fit for you!

We are looking for someone who can take ownership of key tasks across functions, including reporting, data and information management, and project management. The ideal candidate will be a detailed planner and an effective communicator who is able to understand processes with empathy and is constantly curious about continuous improvement.

    • Other duties, as assigned, including support at the annual Montessori Event

  • Project Management

    • Create and implement precise project plans, with attention to transparent communication at all levels of the department

    • Author and update internal and external documentation, and formally initiate and deliver documentation (Office of Accreditation processes, MACTE information and communication, Commission actions, etc.)

    • Manage and maintain key program data across functions, with an emphasis on progress toward performance goals, AMS dashboard, required updates and reports, AMS customer accounts, & commission actions

  • Process Design

    • Drive awareness of needs across functions and identify substandard processes through evaluation of real-time data

    • Serve as thought leade
