Summary

Process Operator HP
We are currently recruiting for a Process Operators for full-time roles within the HP business. Your assignment will be on the C shift (Thurs, Fri, Sat and every 2nd Sunday) from 8 am to 8 pm with a possibility of change to other shift patterns based on business requirements. Applicants must have 6 months of prior experience in the HP business.

Position Summary:
The Process Operators will be responsible for operating equipment, assembling and handling products, quality checks, equipment and materials per the Production and Company's quality system procedures.
This position will report to the Team Leader.

Detailed Description

  • Conducts continuous inspections of all key process points in the automated manufacturing line in the facility and identifies abnormalities.
  • Makes necessary changes when issues are identified, to machinery and equipment, makes adjustments and implements the proper response, including notifying Supervisors.
  • Ensures the manufacture of quality product by following production policies & work instructions. Monitors and controls production process to ensure product is manufactured within specification. Maintains detailed and accurate records of material movement e.g. Travel sheets etc.
  • Assists in the completion of all line documentation (Start of Shift, Pass down records, Scrap Sheets, Downtime Logs, etc.) and communicates documentation changes, ensuring that this is done in the minimum lead-time.
  • Collects information relating to pass down meetings and communicates key information to colleagues or from one shift to the next
  • Supports training and mentoring of agency work force
  • Assists in planned downtimes such as P.M.’s, opportunistic PMs, engineering experiments etc.
  • Keeps Line Coordinators/Team Leaders/Team Members informed of any team issues/concerns/problems Ensures high standards of GMP & good housekeeping at all times as well as adherence to PPE and safety guidelines.
  • Contributes to the growth and improvement of Celestica in every aspect of its business by contributing to the improvement of any and all aspects of our operations
  • Demonstrates the ability to continuously strive to learn all products and systems within the Business Unit area.

Physical Demands

  • Duties of this position are performed in a manufacturing environment with occasional exposure to elements such as noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, etc.
  • Duties of the position require periodic light physical effort and exertion including prolonged repetitive motions requiring manual dexterity and precise hand/eye coordination, sitting and/or standing in confined workspaces, using tools and equipment, and moving and handling materials.
  • Duties may require periodic heavy manual effort including lifting objects.
  • Duties require extended periods of sustained visual concentration on detailed documentation and product assemblies.
  • Above demands are carried out within the company and statutory health and safety guidelines.

Typical Experience

  • Automated Manufacturing experience desirable Other ‘must have’ Requirements:
  • Seeking applicants with 6 months Celestica manufacturing experience HP experience is essential.
  • Flexibility to work across all shifts (days & nights).
  • Excellent performance & proven ability during your time at Celestica. Good Time Keeping & Attendance history.
  • Willingness to work in other areas of Celestica business & future business projects at the Galway site.

Typical Education

  • Second Level Qualification or equivalent Previous Manufacturing experience.
  • Educational Requirements may vary by geography
