Schedule: C shift - 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM | Rotating days
Essential Functions:
• Read blueprints to determine product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances of finished products.
• Assemble or repair medical devices according to drawings, blueprints, or written or verbal instructions, using hand tools and small power tools.
• Visually inspect in-process and/or finished products by referring to inspection sheets and applicable drawing(s) or specifications to ensure conformance to quality requirements.
• Measure components for color, size, and other applicable factors to ensure conformance to quality requirements.
• Prepare required documentation and complete all required entries into SAP or other system.
• Perform routine clerical duties related to inventory control, purchasing, receiving, shipping, etc.
• Conduct physical inventories as scheduled.
• May perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Train new employees regarding policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Maintain good housekeeping and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma / GED (required)
Associate's degree (preferred)
Experience:
1 year experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
Previous experience working with medical device assembly processes (preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, Ability:
Ability to read and interpret measuring instruments including but not limited to; micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, optical comparators, plug gauges, hardness testers, etc.
Ability to read and understand drawings and visual aids.
Ability to use various types of hand tools and small power tools.
Ability to calculate figures and basic mathematical functions.
Basic understanding of lean initiatives.
Basic understanding of ISO requirements.
Proficient computer skills – Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Effectively works under pressure in high volume situations.
Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and written communication.
Works well within a team environment.
Self-motivated individual who is able to take direction and provide input when needed.
