Work Schedule:

  • Full-time (80 hours biweekly)

  • Day Shift 

  • No Weekend, Holiday or On Call Commitment

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)

  • 3 - 4 years’ experience in a related field (Required)

  • 40 wpm Typing 

  • Word and Excel 

  • Filing skills 

  • Medical terminology and insurance authorizations

 

Job Overview:

This is a full-time position that reports directly to the Office Coordinator / Director. This position is responsible for the coordination/secretarial support of the Program. This would include transcription, scheduling appointments, verifying and getting authorization from insurance for therapies, maintenance of the program database, correspondence to physicians, insurance companies, as well as registering the patient for therapy. Will provide statistical data/reports regarding the program. This position may also be called upon to assist the management team with preparation for surveys performed by CARF, JCAHO, Medicare, or other accrediting officials. This position designs and typesets forms utilized by the program as well as other rehabilitation programs, as assigned. May be called upon to provide backup coverage for any clerical positions. Other duties as assigned.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Answers all phone calls courteously and promptly. 

  • Resolves issues and assists in problem resolution. 

  • Assists with filing, transcription, other duties as needed. 

  • May need to assist with additional typing requests from other departments. 

  • Demonstrates effective time management. 

  • Utilizes any free time wisely.

  • Minimal use of personal calls. 

  • Receptionist at front desk. 

  • Greets all individuals in a Service Excellence manner. 

  • Ensure paperwork is given and filled out appropriately. 

  • Facilitates customers to proper destination. 

  • Seeks ways to improve efficiency. 

  • May need to take additional computer classes. 

  • Proficient in handling multiple schedules, Meditech changes.
