Litigation Staff Attorney

As a Litigation Attorney you will engage in sophisticated and challenging litigation work for clients in Ohio and nationwide. We are seeking a staff attorney with a minimum of three years of general litigation experience. The ideal candidate will have a background in product liability and/or toxic tort litigation. The attorney will be responsible for drafting and responding to nationwide discovery-related documents, including written discovery and motions, as well as coordinating novel discovery issues with other counsel. The position also involves preparing document productions, assisting in deposition preparation, and working closely with clients and expert witnesses.

This position will ideally work hybrid in our Toledo, Ohio office, however, we are open to the attorney working in either our Akron or Columbus, Ohio office.
Education, Experience and Skills:- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school
- Valid Ohio bar license
- Minimum 3+ years of general litigation experience
- Strong technological skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and practice management systems, portals and technologies
- Superior research skills, including the use of online services, databases and the Internet
- Superior organizational skills
- Project management skills including a strong aptitude for managing and prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- Sitting position static for up to one-half hour at a time
- Lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds occasionally, up to one hour per day
- Bending and stooping occasionally, up to one-half hour per day
