About the role

Overview

The Senior Director of Commercial Insights leads the omni channel insights agenda for PepsiCo’s $The Senior Director of Commercial Insights leads the omni channel insights agenda for PepsiCo’s $13B Walmart business, spanning Frito Lay, Beverages, and Quaker Foods. This highly visible role sets the Horizon 1 & 2 insights strategy for the Walmart business, ensuring shopper centricity, omni actionability, and commercial impact.

You will play a critical role on the Walmart commercial leadership team, guiding category growth strategies, shaping innovation and activation plans, and unlocking portfolio solutions that accelerate Walmart’s category and business performance. This leader will work cross functionally with marketing, finance, sales, digital commerce, supply chain and sector teams, translating insights into strategic recommendations that fuel sustained growth.

People leadership is central to the role — you will inspire and develop a multi level team, fostering a culture that unleashes the potential of each associate.

 

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set and lead the commercial insights strategy for the full PepsiCo portfolio at Walmart:
  • Own the omni commercial insights agenda and define the long term roadmap for shopper, category, and competitive analytics.
  • Identify the most critical “problems to solve” and translate shopper understanding into actionable commercial strategies.

Drive category and portfolio growth:

  • Deliver category leading insights that elevate PepsiCo’s partnership with Walmart.
  • Use advanced analytics to uncover opportunities across products, geographies, modalities, cohorts, and occasions.

Shape planning and activation:

  • Guide annual and long range planning through deep dive shopper, category, and marketplace insights.
  • Inform assortment and merchandising optimization, innovation planning, seasonal programming, shopper activation, pricing, and promotional strategy.
  • Lead a cohesive shopper learning agenda that keeps the voice of the consumer central to our work.

Influence across the enterprise:

  • Partner with cross functional leaders to align on growth strategies and value creation solutions.
  • Communicate insights with clarity and executive presence to drive decisions across PepsiCo and Walmart.
  • Lead and develop a high performing team:
  • Manage and coach Directors and associates, building next generation insights capabilities.
  • Cultivate a culture of curiosity, accountability, and innovation.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $157,200 - $312,000.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 35% of annual salary paid out annually and an additional target payout of 15% of annual salary is paid out over 3 years following the end of the performance period.
  • Long term incentive equity may be awarded based on eligibility and performance.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in Commercial Insights, Analytics, or Category Strategy.
  • Demonstrated experience leading insights teams and shaping commercial strategy.
  • Track record of driving growth, influencing innovation, and informing go to market strategies.
  • Strong ability to build business cases, quantify opportunity, and measure ROI.
  • Expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
  • Proficiency with BI and
