About the role

Engineering Division and The Civil, Structural and Architectural Department of Technip France in Paris is looking for a Lead in industrial buildings construction, who will be in charge of a team of engineers, architects and building designers (6 employees and external service providers) and will have the following main tasks:

- Make technical decisions in your field and monitor the progress of structural and architectural studies in the role of project manager;

- Ensure the proper execution of your team's tasks on the various projects in progress, from the design of buildings to the development of preliminary designs and the supervision of the execution phase;

- Organising and supervising structural studies, producing architectural plans and written documents, and 3D modelling of studies;

- Monitor the quality of the work carried out by members of the structural department, in liaison with the project management teams;

- Manage and supervise the architectural and engineering teams involved in the project; 

- Ensure that contracts are completed on time and within budget;

- Develop methods, tools, technical innovations and methodologies within the department;

- Provide administrative support to your team (selection and recruitment of service providers, annual interviews, training, etc.).

The job involves occasional international travel.

The projects mainly cover 2 sectors:

- French-style project management contracts, such as APS/APD/PRO/DCE/ACT/VISA on EXE by the successful company/DET, for industrial or pharmaceutical projects, sometimes in the tertiary sector.

- Anglo-Saxon engineering contracts for energy projects (oil & gas, renewable energies), mainly outside France. These projects may be at various stages: conceptual, feasibility, FEED or EPC.

About you:

- Graduate of an engineering school or university with a major in civil engineering/buildings construction (INSA, ESTP, or equivalent);

- 10 years' experience minimum in a project management or structural engineering office in the field of industrial and/or pharmaceutical projects; at least 5 years' experience as a project manager or team leader;

- Experience in the oil/gas sector is a plus;

- Rigour, organisation and leadership, team spirit and ability to lead;

- Fluent in French and English (written and spoken).
