Instructor - Research [Req#: 832662, Position#: 125577]

Description

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases and Geographic Medicine is seeking an Infectious Diseases Researcher at the Instructor level. The position will have responsibilities and duties of performing various microbiologic assays in the development of novel pathogen-specific antibiotics. The studies will require a knowledge of high-throughput screens, cellular toxicity assays, bacterial genetics and animal models of infection. Applicants must have an M.D./Ph.D. or Ph.D. in a basic science and two to five years of postdoctoral experience in infectious diseases or a related specialty.
