The Role:
This position is unique in that the ideal candidate will have primarily operations experience but be partner with the sales team. The position will sit in the Operations business unit and is NOT a sale role.
This is an in-office, full-time position at Congo Brands HQ in Louisville, KY
We are looking for a strong leader who is solutions oriented, a cross functional advocate and passionate about people leadership. As a leader, this individual will foster effective communication between internal departments, including warehouse, inventory management, and accounting, all aimed at optimizing order fulfillment and invoicing processes. Moreover, the Manager will take charge of weekly communication with buyers and merchants from our top retail accounts, ensuring a seamless and mutually beneficial business relationship. The Manager, will have direct oversight of the team handling customer orders, ensuring their accurate and efficient processing, distribution issues and collaborating with inventory control and logistics teams.
The ideal candidate will also have strong analytical skills, (i.e. tracking accuracy, timeliness, and other metrics) of the team ensuring internal standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Provide strong leadership and guidance to team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Performance Management: Set clear performance expectations, provide feedback, and conduct regular performance evaluations to drive individual and team growth
- Serve as the primary problem solver and go-to person for day-to-day distribution issues, especially those concerning last-minute orders and challenges arising from production timing.
- Conduct weekly meetings with top customers to address fulfillment timing and proactively manage any arising issues
- Collaborate closely with the Inventory Control and Logistics teams to minimize variances and effectively address order-related challenges
- Prepare and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly reports on essential metrics related to order processing, customer fulfillment, and overall operational performance
- Ensure timely and accurate entry and review of customer orders
- Facilitate discussions to prioritize order fulfillment based on customer requirements and business priorities
- Monitor and report on key metrics related to order fulfillment, including timeliness and accuracy.
- Lead efforts to review and resolve customer issues, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolutions
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field, preferred
- At least 5+ years’ experience in supply chain operations (sales and operations) with at least 3+ years in a leadership position
- Food, Beverage and/or CPG, strongly preferred
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and empower your team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and external customers
- Ability to accurately execute solutions and new processes implemented to ensure an efficient system
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to utilize advanced functions, pivot tables, and data analysis tools effectively
- Ability to work cross-functionally and present summary level information to key stakeholders
