What does a Marble Care Project Porter do?                            

• Attains work assignments and supplies promptly; reports to the assigned area.
• Thoroughly cleans marble surfaces in the designated area.
• Assists in moving furniture and equipment for special events while using proper safety techniques.
• Properly uses cleaning equipment (e.g., buffer, extractor, scrubber, vacuum) and operates aerial lifts safely.
• Cleans and maintains all equipment after use and reports any damage to the Supervisor.
• Familiar with chemicals and their proper uses.
• Keeps the storeroom organized and informs the Supervisor of supply needs.
• Cleans problem areas both within and outside the assigned zone.

 

To be successful as a Marble Care Project Porter, you'll need:

• Ability to successfully complete MSDS and OSHA training.
• Must possess knowledge of hard floor care. Knowledge of marble care preferred.
• Good interpersonal skills required.
• Must be self-motivated and be attentive to detail.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Prior cleaning equipment knowledge preferred.
• Must be able to periodically work at heights.
• Must be able to lift and/or move 75 lbs. or more.
• A valid NYS Driver’s license may be required; may be required to transport supplies/equipment and clean offsite.
