Job Summary:
The CO₂ Maintenance/QA Technician is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of Linde’s CO₂ depot located in Lebanon Junction, KY. This role includes performing daily operations, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, calibrations, and repairs while maintaining strict ISO, QA, and OSHA compliance. Technicians work independently with minimal supervision and have primary responsibility for the performance and maintenance of their assigned facility.
Facility Overview:
The CO₂ Depot includes multiple liquid CO₂ storage tanks, a fill zone, and a QA/Analyzer building within the distillery, and an off‑site office with a driver room, storage, and truck parking. The depot operates 24/7 with remote monitoring during off‑hours. The on-site team includes 2 drivers and 1 technician, supported by a Distribution Superintendent and Facility Manager based in LaPorte, IN.
Scope of Work:
The Technician is responsible for all aspects of the CO₂ depot, including: operating and maintaining fixed equipment; troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control‑system issues; supporting distribution operations including driver training, product loading, troubleshooting fill issues, maintaining analyzers, ensuring QA and DOT compliance, and performing basic tractor and trailer maintenance; coordinating and overseeing contractor work; maintaining compliance through scheduled inspections; and occasional travel for training or plant support.
Principal Accountabilities:
Maintain Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Compliance standards.
Oversee trailer filling and QA testing processes while assisting drivers with troubleshooting issues.
Ensure compliance with internal and DOT preventive maintenance and inspection standards and carry out light tractor and trailer maintenance activities
Troubleshoot and maintain pumps, valves, motors, scales, and other related equipment.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and one‑line diagrams.
Calibrate and repair instrumentation and analytical equipment.
Procure materials and contractor services.
Oversee any contractor work with proper scheduling and permitting.
Complete regulatory inspections on schedule.
Safely operate forklifts and man‑lifts.
Communicate effectively with internal teams, contractors, drivers, management, logistics, product management, and LCO2 supplier.
Use standard programs including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
