Plan, design, and analyze network components and infrastructure for both Wireline and Wireless systems, providing strategic short- and long-term planning, solution recommendations, and implementation to achieve technology goals.
Key Roles and Responsibilities: Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Network Design and Planning: Develop network layouts, ensure compliance, conduct feasibility studies, recommend strategic network planning and policy decisions, and evaluate network capacity and performance criteria.
• Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Prepare cost estimates, monitor expenses, provide financial reports, and create economic deliverables such as Plans of Record, Forecasts, and Utility Agreements.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain documentation, generate reports, develop technical documentation, and create deliverables including Plans of Record, Forecasts, Serving Plans, Use Permits, Handoffs, Workprints, and Utility Agreements.
• Technical Proficiency and Leadership: Demonstrate sound technical knowledge, mentor peers and new hires, resolve complex problems, provide training, and promote knowledge sharing. Working knowledge of the following systems, WALDO, ARAMIS, IWM, AOTx, and GRANITE. Working knowledge of Copper Plant is also a desired skill.
• Implementation and Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategies to accommodate network growth and change, ensuring alignment with corporate initiatives, customer demand, technology changes, and service reliability criteria.
• Layout Design: Responsible for ensure that out layouts & TCP drawings are completed in a timely manner with the quality standards set by AT&T.
• ROW Agent: Responsible for the acquisition, management and release of right of way easement/permits, etc. on private property and public lands that are needed or used in connection with the construction or maintenance of outside plant facilities.
• General: Creates deliverables, Plans of Record, Forecasts, Serving Plans, Use Permits, Cost Estimates, Handoffs, Workprints, Utility Agreements, etc.
Job Contribution: Technical professional with some experience. Sound technical knowledge growing through application, expanding knowledge of ATT technologies. An experienced professional, applying organizational practices to resolve moderately difficult problems. Works with independent judgement on expansive projects with minimal supervision, implementing policy changes to improve functions. Actions impact efficiency costs, schedules and client relationships. Interacts primarily within the department and with General Managers and above across various teams.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired. 2+ years of related experience.
