About the Role

As a Frontend Intern, you will work in the Identity and Profiles team to create a better job seeking experience. In this role, you’ll be building features to help users manage their profile, empower their experience in our new bowls, and strengthen their profile as a job seeker. 

In this role, you will build features to enhance the employee and jobseeker experience. You will be working within a team and paired with a mentor to ensure you have the support you need to thrive in your role. From conceptualization, to coding, to testing, and releasing it to millions of users, we will help you develop all that goes into being a software engineer! We'll support you the entire way to make sure your internship leads you to a career you love. 

What You’ll Do 

• Work with other engineers and designers to build intuitive and responsive user interfaces to serve our users better. 
• Build React components to provide the building blocks needed to make a website.
• Design and write secure ways to fetch and send data through APIs and graph calls.
• Work on modernizing the tech stack to maximize efficiency and improve the developer experience. 
• Write tests to ensure that your code is secure, reliable, and stable. 
• Debug and solve any issues that come up with the new feature that you launch to production. 

What You’ll Bring 

• Strong working knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks and tooling (Vue.js, Angular.js, React.js, Typescript). This internship will be using React.js, but React experience is not a prerequisite. 
• Strong CSS skills, experience working with CSS pre-compilers (SASS, LESS, etc.) as well as CSS Modules. 
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills. 

Hourly Pay rate: $40.00

Glassdoor Internship Program 

• 12 week virtual program where you'll manage projects and tasks, participate in engaging virtual events, and learn valuable skills! 
• Full-time program (8 hours per day, 40 hours per week). 
• Fully remote: work almost anywhere within the United States. 
• Fully paid program and paid company holidays. 
• Two cohort dates:
  • May 28 - August 16, 2024
  • June 3 - August 23, 2024
