- Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting. Masters degree preferred.
- Must have 5 or more years' accounting experience in seniors living, public accounting experience preferred.
- Should possess substantial knowledge of laws and regulations governing seniors living and HUD financing.
- Should possess knowledge of partnership/ LLC structures, equity ownership.
- Understanding of various types of debt structure, financial modeling of senior living projects and documents.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting and budgeting is required.
- Must possess the ability to read and analyze financial reports and other accounting data.
- Must possess the ability to effectively present information to management.
- Must possess the ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts and operations to tasks.
- Knowledge and ability to coordinate all financial audits, direct and interact with Auditors. Identify appropriate responses in difficult situations.
- Experience in the Yardi platform is highly preferred. Strong command of the Office Suite is required
- Ability to effectively communicate with the ED's and other operations staff.
- Ability to make complex decisions requiring a high degree of judgment. Decisions affect the overall operation of the communities.
- CPA or master's degree in accounting or related field
