IT Intern (On-site Dublin, VA)

This is a on-site job, the person must be able to commute to the office located in Dublin, Virginia.

DURATION:
The duration is >6 months or depending on the academic calendar and the candidate's availability. Opportunity to continue in the team at the end of the 6 months. We are looking for an intern to start immediately.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Intern will provide user support support and troubleshooting software and hardware maintenance; this includes: office tools, networks components (LAN, WiFi), computers Operative System (Windows 10 or later ), telephony systems, mobile devices.

JOB RESPONSABILITIES:

• Bring advice and technical support on software and hardware to end users, to solve Service Desk´s assigned tickets.
• To accomplish a 98% of compliance on assigned tickets attention and resolution time.
• Responsible for IP Telephones configuration and troubleshooting.
• Configuring and supporting mobile devices and intelligent phones (Tablets, iPhone, IPads)
• Configuring and supporting printers
• Responsible for asset tracking and maintaining an up-to-date inventory of IT equipment.
• To configure, upgrade and maintain computer anti-virus on the network to ensure data security and protection.
• Provide troubleshooting for Internet Explorer, Adobe Creative Suites, Microsoft Office Suites and other hardware and software applications.
• Manage administration of user accounts including email, remote access, etc.
• Assist in setting-up and upgrading computer systems for end users.
• Maintain and troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity issues.

REQUIREMENTS

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other IT related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail and organized
• Working knowledge of fundamental operations of Windows 10 or later is essential.
