The Role

In this role on the Equity Trading engineering team, you will produce high-quality, testable code for sophisticated trading products and efficiently deploy them onto AWS. The Expertise You Have

• 5+ years’ experience as a full stack software engineer, delivering software using agile development practices

• Object Oriented development experience, ideally with Java

• Exposure to coding in more than one programming language. Our full stack engineers work across a range of client, middle tier, messaging, caching and database technologies including Java, Spring Boot, Scala, Angular, JavaScript, WPF, C#, SQL and PL/SQL.

• Exposure to Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices

• Exposure to test automation frameworks that support all types of testing (unit, component, integration, system etc.) executed through CI/CD pipelines.

• Bachelor's degree (or above) in either Engineering or Computer Science related field

The Skills You Bring

• You have deep knowledge of middleware Java stack, messaging technologies, containerization, web containers and test automation.

• You have an awareness of event-based systems, functional programming, such as Scala / Akka / Camel and messaging frameworks such as Kafka.

•  You demonstrate a test-driven approach to developing software and can build or contribute to automated testing frameworks that can detect any anomalies in functionality, performance and integration.

• You have experiences in some of the following technologies continuous integration/delivery frameworks such as GITHUB, Jenkins.

• You have experience using GitHub Co-Pilot

• You can lead Software engineers encouraging autonomy, mastery and purpose in their work.

• You have experience building enterprise cloud enabled distributed systems.

• You know, understand and promote Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery engineering practices.

• You can clearly document design options and decisions, and present these in an organized manner to technical as well as non-technical audiences

• You are a strong contributor with a collaborative work style in building, crafting and reviewing code

Equity Trading Technology team develops and supports products and capabilities used by Equity Trading desks in Boston, London and Hong Kong processing billions of dollars’ worth of trades.
