What You Will Do:
We are seeking an experienced Business Process Re-engineering Manager to support a Department of State client in documenting, improving, and communicating key budget and financial processes across a major foreign assistance program. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented professional with strong analytical skills, excellent client‑facing communication abilities, and experience working with federal financial or budget operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a comprehensive process mapping initiative covering budget formulation, execution, financial analysis, reporting, and related workflows.
Engage directly with client stakeholders to understand current-state operations, identify process owners, and gather detailed business requirements.
Develop and refine process maps, workflows, and supporting documentation.
Translate complex financial and budget processes into clear, accessible visual documentation for leadership across the Bureau.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardization, and risk reduction, and present recommendations to client leadership.
Manage project timelines, deliverables, and communication across multiple stakeholder groups.
Support change management and communication efforts related to new or updated processes.
What You Will Need:
An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Public Administration, or related field.
FIVE (5) years experience in process mapping, workflow documentation, or business process reengineering.
Knowledge of federal budgeting or financial management processes (Department of State or foreign assistance experience preferred).
Strong facilitation and client‑engagement skills.
Proficiency with process mapping tools.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Prior consulting experience supporting federal agencies.
Familiarity with Business Process Re-engineering methodologies or process improvement frameworks.
