The Amateur Scouting Department is responsible for collecting information and evaluating players who are eligible for the annual Rule 5 Amateur Player Draft. We are comprised of a robust, remote scouting department who watches potential professional players on a daily basis, along with an office staff who are constantly monitoring player data and information to assist in the evaluation and selection of future Dodgers every year.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Edit player video from scouting field staff
- Upload video into internal database to assist in the Amateur Scouting department's player evaluation efforts
- Regular collaboration with field staff
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Requirements/Qualifications:
- Strong passion and understanding for the amateur baseball landscape
- Ability to pay great attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Previous exposure to video editing software is a plus/preference
- Current student with a graduation date of December 2024/January 2025 OR within one year post graduation
- Must be available to live and work in Los Angeles or your assigned office location throughout the duration of your 5-month program from March to August 2025
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
- Passionate about working for a professional sports team
- Proactive and out of the box thinking
