Position Details:
Kobre & Kim is looking for immediately available 1L or 2L students seeking work experience over the summer months in a law firm. The internship will give the opportunity to work closely with our in-house team of lawyers who assist in firm management and advising the firm on risk and legal matters. The work performed by the intern will be focused on the procedures the in-house team manages to implement risk management at Kobre & Kim.
This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional legal environment. This opportunity will not lead to a full-time offer and is designed to be a summer internship.
The internship will be a full-time position, working Monday to Friday with three days per week in the office. The position is exempt and not eligible for overtime pay.

The Legal Department does not work for the firm’s clients and you would not be working on cases but supporting the Legal Department’s function at Kobre & Kim.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the firm’s general counsel, legal department, and attorneys to assist case teams with risk management.
- Conduct research using various internal and external resources.
- Assist on ad hoc projects required by the legal department.
- Assist with administrative work in relation to the running of a legal department.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should possess or demonstrate the following attributes:
- Law school students who have completed their first or second year at an ABA accredited law school, on target for 3.4 GPA.
- Tech-savvy and working knowledge of Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability and desire to conduct research tasks.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skill.
- Desire to learn on the job about the running of a legal team in an international law firm.
- Candidates will be expected to be in the office 3 days per week.
New York City only: At the time of posting, the pay rate will be $770 per week. This range is based on a full-time work schedule.
The successful candidate’s actual salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications, training, skills, and market data.
