The Opportunity

The Manager, Implementation Tooling & Deployment Automation delivers strategic and operational leadership for a specialized software engineering team focused on building deployment, installation, and configuration tools. This role is essential in advancing the efficiency of our field and support organizations by transforming manual configuration tasks into streamlined, automated workflows. Beyond regional execution, this leader will define and drive a collaboration model with global colleagues, ensuring regional technical innovations contribute to the global tooling roadmap and that global solutions are optimized for local implementation needs.

As the Manager, Implementation Tooling & Deployment Automation you will:

  • Establish Global Collaboration Models: Develop and maintain a structured partnership with global engineering and product teams. Act as the primary regional advocate to ensure that global tool development aligns with local field requirements and that regional successes are scaled globally.

  • Drive Operational Efficiency: Partner with Implementation, Support, and Marketing departments to identify bottlenecks in the deployment lifecycle. Oversee the analysis and design of "setup engines" and automated wizards that reduce "Time-to-Live" and eliminate manual configuration errors.

  • Oversee the Software Lifecycle: Direct the programming, debugging, and modification of internal tools, ensuring they are robust, user-friendly, and compliant with healthcare regulatory standards (FDA, GMP, ISO).

  • Strategic Resource Management: Establish and manage departmental budgets, tactical plans, and full employment decisions, including the professional development and performance management of the engineering staff.

  • Monitor & Report Performance: Define and track KPIs related to deployment speed and tool adoption. Represent the team’s impact in Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and global stakeholder meetings.

  • Quality & Compliance: Maintain and continuously improve the quality system, ensuring all internal tools operate reliably within a field/flexible work environment.
