About the role
- Must have a basic understanding of work to be performed
- Interns will work 15 – 25 hours per week; summer interns will typically work 40 hours
- Must be willing to accept direction from, and interact professionally with supervisor and co-workers
- Must work with integrity and follow assigned tasks through to completion
- Assist with department administrative duties as necessary to learn about the work being performed, and to contribute to completion of department workload
- Knowledge of Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Teams will be helpful
- Intern projects will be tailored to intern experience level but will include development and tracking of project financial metrics, analysis of inventory, building reports and understanding funding in government contracts.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education/Training (both required and desired):
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Current enrollment in or recent graduate of a four-year program in Business, Finance, Accounting, or other related discipline required
Experience:
- 0+ years of professional experience in the required task area
Security:
- Must be a US citizen
- Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
Physical Requirements:
- Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms
- Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk
- Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
- Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time
