Senior Safety Engineer I - Structured Cabling

SUMMARY
Mortenson is currently seeking a Senior Safety Engineer I in our Structured Cabling Group that will be responsible for implementing Mortenson’s Zero Injury Safety program across multiple project sites and ensuring a safe work environment for team members, subcontractors, and visitors to the construction work site.
We are unable to sponsor to take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time
MEP and Data Center experience is preferred, but not required
Travel is up to 100% anywhere in the U.S. with regular rotations home every 3 weeks for 4 days until project completion or assigned to another project
The following requirements are non-negotiable. Must have either a 4-year degree in health or safety OR meet all 3 of the following:
HS Diploma
OSHA30
CHST by the BCSP (NCCER, CHSO, SSHO certs do not meet certification requirement)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Implement and administer safety programs at worksites, including site-specific safety activities and training programs
Document and track safety violations, conduct safety audits, and analyze loss control data
Lead OSHA reporting, monitor subcontractor activities, and review safety submittals
Record, monitor, and analyze safety, injury, and hazard statistics
Provide safety-related information, evaluate industrial hygiene concerns, and maintain knowledge of safety standards
Serve as a resource for safety issues, attend safety meetings, and assist with major incident analysis
Work with client safety personnel, union representatives, and insurance risk engineers
