Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Environmental Regulatory Consultant to join our team! Please see the below for more details on responsibilities and requirements. With the increase in project work within the manufacturing sector, the need for a professional knowledgeable and literae in all aspects of environmental regulations is needed.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Works closely with our clients to identify and assess gaps in their current regulatory compliance.
- Develop compliance calendars for clients and methods to predict and meet permitting and submission responsibilities.
- Perform site assessments and audits, including Responsible Care and ISO-similar program evaluations.
- Within Parsons, develop or enhance existing trainings to increase knowledge of staff on environmental topics and those related to manufacturing.
- Serve as resource to come to solution for unique challenges in areas of safety, health, environment (SHE), and operational areas.
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert and provide risk based and regulatory guidance. SME in areas such as air permitting, water and wastewater, hazardous materials for shipment (DOT, IATA, IMDG), hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
- Aids in proposal development and cost estimates with the specific client request in mind.
- Maintains affiliation with professional societies to keep abreast of current technologies.
- Work efficiently and effectively, while identifying additional opportunities, to provide most value for our clients
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in a science curriculum related to the assigned discipline and typically 8+ years of related work experience, including experience as a task leader.
