Purpose of the role:

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for assisting with the operational running of the store and the achievement of sales targets.

You will help enhance customer satisfaction, meet sales and profitability goals and manage staff effectively, ensuring that our customer’s needs are met and exceeded. You will also ensure that your team delivers a high standard of service in order to constantly improve the sales performance to achieve and exceed store targets.

Main Duties and Key responsibilities

• Deputise for store manager at any time they are not in store.
• Help the store manager to develop business strategies to increase footfall, and drive sales and profitability
• Meet store sales goals by assisting with training, motivating, mentoring and providing feedback to sales staff
• Ensure high levels of customers satisfaction through excellent service
• Complete store opening and closing procedures, with rotas being updated regularly and on time, general administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
• Take part in stock controls and inventory audits as and when required (either via internal process requirement or external audit partners).
• Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
• Deal with queries that arise from staff or customers

• Ensure all members of staff are focusing on UPT & ATV
• Deputising for the store manager, write the Weekly Report, communicating your store’s business performance against LY and Budget (when applicable) and highlighting any areas of concern

• Additional duties to assist store manager as needed

Requirements

• Proven successful experience as a retail supervisor or assistant Store Manager.

• Able to meet deadlines and prioritise as required.
• Be proactive in your approach, anticipate problems and develop, own and action solutions.
• You are expected to lead by example, demonstrating and encouraging high standards in all areas, promoting and managing team morale and motivation
• Be confident in managing all customer related tasks
• Be a Positive Seraphine Ambassador upholding the company standards
