Job Description

As a valued colleague on our Internal Audit team supporting Treasury and Capital Markets, you will play a critical role in assessing one of the organization’s most complex and high‑impact business areas. You’ll analyze Treasury and Capital Markets activities, evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of controls, and help advance our use of analytics and emerging technologies within audit.

You will help Internal Audit deliver impactful, high‑quality assurance over critical Treasury and Capital Markets functions while contributing to our transformation toward more analytics‑driven auditing. Your work will directly strengthen the organization’s risk management, control environment, and overall operational excellence.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE

The Internal Audit Senior Associate – Treasury and Capital Markets role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Assess Treasury and Capital Markets processes and transactions to evaluate control design and operating effectiveness.

  • Gather, test, and interpret evidence from a variety of business and system sources.

  • Identify control gaps, process inefficiencies, or opportunities for improvement.

  • Prepare clear, concise, and accurate audit documentation and reporting.

  • Provide credible challenge to business partners while maintaining strong working relationships.

  • Support deployment of analytics in audit engagements, including automated control testing and risk measurement.

  • Contribute to developing new analytic capabilities and innovative approaches to auditing.

THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Minimum Required Experiences

  • 2 years of relevant experience in internal audit or risk management within a large, complex organization.

  • Experience evaluating processes, risks, and controls—specifically performing control design assessments, operational effectiveness testing, and identifying control gaps.

  • Experience communicating audit or risk assessment results, both verbally and in writing, to management and stakeholders.

  • Ability to provide credible challenge in a professional and constructive manner.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and partner relationships.

  • Demonstrated problem‑solving, critical thinking, and data analysis skills.

Desired Experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

  • Experience in audit or risk management for a large financial institution or bank and familiarity in treasury and capital markets processes.

  • Relevant professional certification (preferably CPA, CISA or CIA).

  • Exposure to analytics or programming languages (e.g. SQL, Python, R, JavaScript) at a beginner or foundational level.

  • Experience building data visualizations using Tableau or Power BI.

  • Hands-on experience applying Generative AI/LLMs in audit procedures.
