Maintenance Apprentice

ABM, a leading provider of integrated facility solutions, is looking for a Maintenance Apprentice to assist with maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC and Refrigeration equipment and controls, chilled water systems, boilers, and various other mechanical, electrical and building systems in accordance with client expectations and requests under general supervision.

Essential Functions:

Performs a variety of service work, including but not limited to: 

• Filter changing
• Oiling and greasing
• Belt adjusting or replacement
• Cleaning of cooling towers, coils, evaporator, and condenser tubes
• General housekeeping
• Truck driving including pick up, lay out, and delivering required materials or equipment for installation, service and repair work
• Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) work
• Clean and organize warehouse(s), assist with annual inventory
• Operate a variety of tools and machines required to perform HVAC service work
• Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures
• Comply with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards
• Complete all paperwork associated with operations and shift responsibilities
• Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent 
• Familiarity with HVAC equipment or a strong mechanical aptitude
• Self-starter with ability to work independently 
• Customer service experience
• May be required to perform the following physical activities with or without accommodation: climb ladders, lift boxes and equipment, lift and handle HVAC tools and equipment, and walk over large campuses
• Ability to use power tools
