Project Manager, EUV Source Subsystem
ASMLAbout the role
ASML US, LP brings together the most creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines that are key to producing faster, cheaper, more energy-efficient microchips. We design, develop, integrate, market and service these advanced machines, which enable our customers - the world’s leading chipmakers - to reduce the size and increase the functionality of their microchips, which in turn leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics. Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, and we have 18 office locations around the United States including main offices in Wilton, CT, Chandler, AZ, San Jose, CA and San Diego, CA.
Job Mission
We are presenting you with a unique and exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and innovative Development & Engineering team, focused on conceiving and demonstrating the technologies required for next generations of high-power extreme ultraviolet (EUV) light sources. Based on a laser produced plasma (LPP), our light source relies on a wide range of unique and challenging technologies, ranging from laser light amplification and high-power optical systems to laser produced plasma for EUV generation, electro-optical signal detection and algorithm-based actuation for process control. You are invited to bring your passion, knowledge and expertise in areas of applied physics, plasmas, metrology, optics, controls, lasers, and experiment design to push the boundaries of these technologies forward.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Execute the full content of an EUV Source subsystem, leading the triple constraint management and determining the allocation of resources. (Subsystems include Tin Management, Plasma Controls, Droplet Generation, Metrology and Platforms, Integration, and Performance).
Development of modules including hardware, software, electronics, and/or metrology.
Ensure maximum commonality forwards and backwards on Product Line & Functions
Stabilize EOL developments and optimize for New Product module development
Identify gaps in capabilities and work with Research and Development teams to develop new capabilities to enable roadmap extension, for TRL 1-4; execute such capabilities from TRL5 onward.
Responsible for schedule, budgets, costs, performance targets, resource and execution plans to drive operational activities
Spans multiple source product generations and technology readiness levels, from inception to sustaining operation.
Lead annual Total Allocation Process (TAP) together for scope areas
Drives operational activities in cross-functional, cross-sectoral manner within a matrix organization, interfacing with the following sectors:
Systems Engineering
Development & Engineering
Research / Technology Development
Manufacturing
Logistics
Sourcing/Procurement
Customer Support
Product Management (marketing)

Manage high Program complexity
Deliverables
Generate and execute on the Aligned scope, resourcing, and timing for assigned sub-system as identified during the TAP and updated throughout the year as needed
Ensure commonality of the subsystem architecture across business lines and product programs
Ensure consistency and continuity between the long-term EUV source roadmap and the subsystem project portfolio
Ensure one comprehensive technology execution activity, consistent with the roadmap, aligned across Research and D&E.
Ensuring 6 QTR plans including product PGP milestones are in place for accepted portfolio.
Effectively balance near term escalation support with strategic future roadmap
Steward the competency of project management within D&E EUV Source San Diego, including grooming the pipeline
Drive a portfolio of projects aimed at delivering technologies in support of Product Roadmaps established in collaboration with System Engineering and Source Programs organizations. Projects will involve all phases of development, from feasibility through industrialization to sustaining lifecycle phases.
Act as communication conduit between Source Programs and subsystem Cluster teams to ensure alignment between requirements, expectations, and cluster capabilities.
Participate in top-level 3iab for subsystem ART, including Department manager and SF Architect
Lead the subsystem ART by providing cross-product deliverables prioritization, including the business value motivations
