Caregiver for Male Client

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable caregiver to provide respite care for a male client in La Jolla. This part-time position requires availability on Mondays and Thursdays from 9 AM to 2 PM. The ideal candidate will be comfortable assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including showers, and will engage the client in meaningful conversation.

Schedule: Mondays and Thursdays, 9AM-2PM

Job Type: Part-time, Consistent Schedule

Responsibilities:

• Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Provide companionship and engage the client in conversations and activities.
• Ensure the client’s safety and well-being during the shift.
• Offer respite care to the client's wife, providing her with a much-needed break.
• Monitor and report any changes in the client’s condition to the family or medical professionals as needed.

Qualifications:

• Experience in caregiving, particularly with male clients.
• Ability to assist with showers and other personal care needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dependable and punctual with a consistent work history.
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful of the client’s dignity and privacy.

Requirements

• Cell phone with internet access
• Strong organizational & communication skills
• Certifications that are preferred but NOT required: CNA, HHA, CPR, First Aid, AED
• Active Home Care Aide status (Unsure? We can show you how!)
• Proof of negative TB results
• Valid driver's license and active car insurance
