About This Role

Lead the charge in revolutionizing comfort experiences through connected technology. Carrier, the global leader in healthy, safe, and sustainable building solutions, seeks a visionary Director of Connected Products to join our HVAC Americas team. This impactful role will see you spearhead the strategic direction of our connected platforms, driving innovation and exceeding customer expectations in the Commercial, Residential, Light Commercial, and Ductless segments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Craft the vision: Partner with Product Marketing, Engineering, and Digital to define a compelling connected platform vision and roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on market trends and customer needs.
• Lead the way: Build and inspire a cross-functional team of product managers, software engineers, and designers, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
• From concept to reality: Mastermind the full digital product lifecycle, ensuring quality, cost, and timeline objectives are met through seamless execution.
• Tech guru: Work alongside product engineers to design, develop, and test cutting-edge platforms, keeping your finger on the pulse of emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Strategic partnerships: Identify and nurture partnerships for platform integration, expanding capabilities and driving innovative solutions.
• Alignment is key: Collaborate across departments to ensure connected products seamlessly align with our overall business goals and strategy.
• Resourceful leader: Manage the budget and resources allocated for platform development, ensuring efficient resource allocation and project success.
• Security champion: Partner with Digital and Product Security to build secure platforms and ensure data privacy, safeguarding our connected future.
• Constant evolution: Drive the launch of new features and enhancements, keeping our platforms at the forefront of the market.
• Travel 20-30%.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in software development, ideally within the connected platforms or technology industry.
• Bachelor’s Degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A proven leader with a track record of successful product launches and experience in leading complex software development projects.
• Advanced business knowledge, general management and leadership capability to lead business or functional teams.
• A technologist with a deep understanding of IoT technologies, encompassing sensors, connectivity, data analytics, and cloud services.
• A strong leader with exceptional communication and collaboration skills, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
• A strategic thinker with an eye for market trends and a passion for driving innovation.
• A resourceful manager with proven budgeting and resource allocation expertise.
