JOB SUMMARY: The Facility Maintenance & Operations Manager will support the day-to-day maintenance and operations of the arena and surrounding areas to ensure a clean, safe, and well-functioning facility. This role requires a working knowledge of general facility upkeep, equipment maintenance, custodial operations, and vendor coordination. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical systems (HVAC, sprinkler, alarm), event setup and conversion, and general building maintenance. This position is responsible for supervising routine repairs, supply inventory, vendor services, custodial teams, and basic groundskeeping. The Facility Maintenance & Operations Manager will report directly to the General Manager and support capital and operational goals as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Supervise day-to-day operations of facility maintenance and custodial teams.

  • Coordinate work schedules, daily assignments, and performance of third-party vendors (e.g., cleaning, landscaping, pest control, trades).

  • Perform routine inspections of the arena, identifying needed maintenance or repair.

  • Support event setup and teardown operations for both gameday and non-game day events.

  • Assist in scheduling preventative maintenance and coordinating service calls as needed.

  • Maintain logs and documentation for facility maintenance, housekeeping, and safety protocols.

  • Ensure all equipment is operated safely and kept in working condition; report issues proactively.

  • Monitor and order custodial, maintenance, and operational supplies; track inventory.

  • Work within a defined budget for supplies and contracted services.

  • Ensure general safety compliance with OSHA standards and internal protocols.

  • Support sustainability and recycling efforts within the facility.

  • Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) for assigned events.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience.

  • 3+ years of experience in facility operations, maintenance, or related role (sports/entertainment venue experience preferred).

  • Familiarity with basic mechanical, electrical, and custodial systems.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to manage teams and collaborate with vendors.

  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks under deadlines.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using facility management or work order systems.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
