You’ll be working with a world class team of engineers, designers, product managers, and analysts to create great products that make a difference on one of the world’s most trafficked and loved websites. </span></p><p><span>The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of building large scale applications, low latency API’s, data pipelines, and a high focus on capability oriented architecture. You will be working on highly valuable products around the PRCI (Prohibited, Restricted and Counterfeit) domain. You will lead the development of modern Java/Spring Boot, Python web applications by developing system designs, helping define the technical roadmap, guiding the team on all technical aspects, and implementing code.</span></p><p><span>It's a unique opportunity to be part of a new team based on a collaborative, transparent and highly technical team culture.</span></p><p></p><h2><b><span>What you will accomplish:</span></b></h2><ul><li><p><span>Independently lead complex technical initiatives within and beyond your team.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Drive technical direction and roadmap, leads across domain teams and guides others towards the right technical decisions. </span></p></li><li><p><span>Mentor and coach engineers at all levels, supporting their professional development and helping grow the technical capability of the team.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Collaborate with senior technical leaders across various domains to ensure architecture alignment, module reuse, performance optimization, data consistency, and high availability of distributed systems and AI solutions.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Foster a culture of engineering excellence by driving efficiency, velocity, quality, and innovation within the team, and lead initiatives to modernize the technology stack when advantageous.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Design and implement robust, scalable and efficient AI systems, ensuring operational excellence across the entire lifecycle.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Contribute to the design and development of scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Participate in architectural discussions to drive system-level decisions and innovative solutions.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Develop and maintain server-side applications using Java and SpringBoot.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, following coding standards and guidelines.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Conduct and participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and consistency.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Work closely with product managers and other engineers to deliver features and improvements.</span><br/> </p></li></ul><h2><b><span>What you will bring:</span></b></h2><ul><li><p><span>Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar technical degree, with 9+ years of experience designing and developing highly scalable web applications.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Proven experience in designing and architecting sophisticated systems at scale, with expertise in distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Exceptional development skills in Java / Scala or Python. </span></p></li><li><p><span>In-depth understanding and experience with high-performance databases (SQL, NoSQL), vect
