Program Manager- Comm Engage

Primary responsibilities for this position include overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Community Engagement Core at Meharry. The goal of the Core is to equitably partner with community stakeholders to eliminate the disproportionate healthcare and health outcomes experienced by ethnic minorities. Specific Core activities include working with community-based organizations to address their health-related priorities using research, promote and support community participation in all research phases, and disseminate research results to the community. An Advisory Board will provide overall Core guidance.

Daily Operations

• Provide Plan and provide implementation support for all Core meetings
• Coordinate and track Core activities
• Market Core resources to Meharry research investigators
• Order Core supplies
• Plan and provide implementation support for all Advisory Board Meetings
• Manage collaborative arrangements and communications with community stakeholders
• Coordinate and provide implementation support for all community activities

Required Education and Experience

• Completed master’s degree in a public health, community health, or related scientific field is required.
