Roles & Responsibilities:
The Clinical Research Team of the Addiction Institute of Mount Sinai is seeking a motivated and independent clinical coordinator to help conduct clinical research trials. The primary focus of this position consists of assisting in the activities related to clinical research studies including, but not limited to: screening participants for eligibility, registering subjects with sponsoring agency, administering questionnaires. Obtaining informed consent under minimal supervision and educating participants regarding study requirements. Diligently administering and monitoring experimental procedures including neuropsychological testing. Collecting and recording study data including inputting all information into database. Ensuring accurate and complete compilation of subject data through chart reviews. Preparing for monitoring visits. Assisting in preparing grant applications, IRB/GCO for submission and filings. Maintaining source documents and subject files in accordance with hospital procedures and FDA guidelines. The Clinical Research Coordinator position is under the supervision of the Principal Investigator or a senior researcher. The Clinical Research Coordinator will also work closely with other Clinical Research Coordinators and Physician Assistant to adhere to clinical protocols conducted with study participants focused on substance use disorders.
- Collects and records study data. Inputs all information into database.
- Obtains informed consent under minimal supervision of the investigator(s) and educates participants regarding study requirements.
- Assists in the activities related to clinical research studies including but not limited to: answering phone calls, screening participants for eligibility, registering subjects with sponsoring agency, administering lifestyle questionnaires.
- Assists in preparing grant applications, IRB/GCO for submission and filings.
- Maintains source documents and subject files in accordance with hospital procedures. Ensures accurate and complete compilation of subject data through chart reviews.
- Secures, delivers and ships clinical specimens as required by the protocol.
- Prepares for monitoring visits.
- Performs other related duties.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Science or closely related field.
- 1-2 years of research experience
