CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- New employees of the Department of Military Affairs will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- New employees of the Department of Military Affairs are required to participate in a direct deposit/electronic transfer program.
- The Department of Military Affairs is paid on a monthly basis.
- This position is a Cooperative Agreement position.
- As a CANDIDATE, you may be required to provide documentation (i.e., High School Diploma or Equivalency, College Transcripts, ETC.) to verify meeting these Minimum Qualifications.
- Must be able to pass a Department of Juvenile Justice Background screening/test.
- Must have and maintain a valid State of Florida Driver’s License.
- Must possess or be able to obtain First Aid/CPR certification within six months of employment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent; AND
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience; AND
- Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License; AND
- The State of Florida Certificate of Compliance as a Firefighter (Not earlier than 1998)***Note***; AND
- Assistant Chief of Training (AFSC 3E771): Required Department of Defense Certifications
- Fire Fighter II
- Airport Fire Fighter
- HAZMAT Operations
- Driver/Operator Pumper
- ARFF & Tender
- Completion of the DOD Fire Protection School
- DoD Sponsored Career Development Courses (CDC) or equivalent certification accredited by International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) or national fire service accreditation
